joon hee - Canvas.Explorer-1.01
NAME
Canvas.VML - Add a canvas option to Microsoft's internet explorer.
SYNOPSIS
JSAN.use('Canvas.VML'); // Now you can do any Canvas code on Internet Explorer
DESCRIPTION
This implements the HTML 5 Canvas tag in Internet Explorer 6.0 and later which means it works with Windows XP computers at least (older computers do not ship with Internet Explorer 6.0). This means Canvas is supported by allmost all web browser if you use Canvas.VML.
Canvas.VML works by using Microsoft's VML technology which happens to only work in Internet Explorer. This generates the XML tags from the JavaScript code to make most Canvas graphics work.
DEPENDENCIES
VML
METHODS
G_vmlCanvasManager.initElement(HTMLElement el) Returns HTMLElement
This will turn an element into a VML renderer.
KNOWN ISSUES
Patterns are not implemented. Radial gradient are not implemented. The VML version of these look very different from the canvas one. Clipping paths are not implemented. Coordsize. The width and height attribute have higher priority than the width and height style values which isn't correct. Painting mode isn't implemented. Canvas width/height should is using content-box by default. IE in Quirks mode will draw the canvas using border-box. Either change your doctype to HTML5 (http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/#the-doctype) or use Box Sizing Behavior from WebFX (http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/boxsizing/boxsizing.html) Optimize. There is always room for speed improvements.
